Euphoria 2013; The Advantages of Smaller

was my first Burning Man  regional. It was so small compared to Burning  Man itself, but I was surprised at how much I got out of it in terms of my thinking and in meeting interesting people. The size was actually an advantage even if the event was far less "spectacular".

I'll have more to say on what I derived from this excursion, but for the time being here are some interesting photos. Yes, that's me performing in one of them. Area 51 needed someone to play for an hour or so while the headliner was recuperating from heat exhaustion. So there I was, singing Gypsy Kings rumbas with a percussionist I had just met named Donald, in a DJ booth with lasers and smoke everywhere. I loved it.
